Interactive sculpture / light / presence
Silent Sentinel
Two sculpted faces sit either side of a mirrored plane. On the central axis their features overlap into a third face; from elsewhere the construction separates again.
The face is not a fixed image.
It is a position.
Silent Sentinel is an interactive sculpture built around two connected faces, a mirror-like central plane and a luminous circular frame. Each side carries a different visual language: one more organic and fluid, the other harder and more geometric.
The sculpture changes according to where it is seen from. From the side the two profiles separate. From the central axis, reflection and alignment collapse them into another face — an identity that does not physically exist as a single object.
Light responds to presence and sound, so the sculpture changes as people approach it and as the room changes. The work uses reflection, parallax and illumination to test how easily separate forms can be read as one face.
One object.
Several readings.
Five views of the same object. Position, reflection and lighting change which face reads first — and whether the construction appears split or whole.

Seen in motion.
The work is designed to be approached rather than viewed from one fixed angle.
Two faces are physically present.
The third exists only in alignment.
